When people think of living off the grid, it conjures up pictures of crude communes many miles and hours from towns and cities, full of dirt and deprivation. With us, nothing could be further from the truth; single sites or shortplat associations both conform to our dedicated utopic vision.
Naked and Barefoot
Bad weather is good fortune. Our grounds are so ergonomic that clients can run nexus
trails during a rainstorm, at night, NAKED AND BAREFOOT. The wide trails touch all the
special places, including the clear water lagoon, so a night run can be a lagoon/hot tub
session as well. We love unusual weather and want our clients to see it in action, but
in complete safety. Being snowed in for a month should be fun instead of dangerous;
heavy rains, high winds, swirling skies, sunsets, sunrises, fogbound forests are all
tickets to the big show.
Our sites and structures are interactive organisms; activity becomes a way of life with
people that live there. Contoured properties are conducive to energy flows, and nexus lanes
curve to preserve trees, rocks and other site phenomena.
Outside, the forests are groomed and have old growth spaces, encouraging trail users
to enter; these trees are not background, they are interactive players on a timeless stage.
Inside, there are rooms and areas devoted to activity; this is not a home where people
will want to be sedentary. All of these projects are, by their nature, resorts.
Consider the circle of life, pace and resonance this has on the perpetual family, and rejoice.
Our dwellings are large, high and spacious; high ceilings fulfill growth energy
needs for busy families. There will be occasions when many guests arrive, even
hundreds; Geomancic site logic and interpretation allows us to park a hundred
cars, without issues.
Water
In a forest cluster biosphere, there are features set up by flow evaluation. Overflow from
rain barrels is rilled into gardens, lagoons, other water features and ultimately, into
the aquifer. From the time the first drop hits, the water is on an adventure.
Power, septic and water systems are designed for easy understanding. Our clients
will never run out of power or water, even in the most adverse conditions. Information on
all systems can be accessed in the MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS MANUAL, given to all
owners. To obtain remote viability, owners must have an endless supply of water and have total
confidence in the source.
Such a mass of water cannot be kept in underground storage tanks, so we create surface
water retention ponds (clear water lagoons with waterfalls and sand beaches) to contain
this valuable resource. Although the clear water lagoon can be a reservoir, it is also a great
swimming hole and beach front.
Power
Clients may or may not want propane (easily delivered by local vendors), but power will be provided by overlapping systems with multiple contributors. The power will never again go out on you.
Light
When night falls, the stars and the moon can, on a clear night, be viewed easily…IF there is no light pollution. This occurs inside a dwelling as well as outside, and basically seems to be ignored by designers and installers. With us, it is a major deal; lighting is a huge force and can have a strong, positive effect on people. We have multiple ways of collaborating with light, some seemingly whimsical, some physical (such as obscured sources). Standard lighting systems are extremely wasteful; well planned lighting restores yang energies. Fiberoptic illumination has residential applications that have never been thought of; we will employ this commercial crossover to it's best use.
