What's Next?

This is the great and wonderful Pacific Northwest, yet designs don’t fully engage the component forces we have. Other countries around the Pacific Rim have used their designs for thousands of years successfully, dealing with the same forces we encounter here. We have studied some of these ancient designs, with intriguing results.

Our structures are not filled with expensive and meaningless finishes; every line item is driven by some need or force. These are interpreted and crafted into simple, elegant systems, demonstrating their basic natures, continuously reinforcing connections to life. As craftsmen, it is our duty to reveal the nature of elements and forces in their contentment.

Forest Clusters are shortplats that have been designed for groups of single families, with 5+ acre parcels and unconventional site planning. Although these enclaves support multiple families, they may not be visible to each other. Using passive grooming, we learn the characteristics of every site; dwellings must be designed using these studies. Locations will be analyzed; when buildings last HUNDREDS OF YEARS, placement is critical.

Some people will want larger sites, 10+ acres, and our scope includes them. Lakefront, beachfront, islands, mountains, deserts, anywhere clients want to be.
